Ellen Kelly, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCS-F of Vanderbilt University joins Sara MacIntyre, M.A., CCC-SLP to discuss navigating the many uncertainties that can come about when working with young children who stutter and their families. Ellen and Sara discuss how important individualization is with all clients, but specifically with this age group. They discuss the bigger picture of communication, how to set families up for the potential for persistence, meeting our clients where they are, ways to support and encourage healthy communication attitudes, and more! This will be followed up by an episode specifically focused on supporting parents in a couple weeks.
