MEMPHIS, TENN. (Dec. 11, 2019) — More than 8,000 continuing education course sessions have been offered by the Stuttering Foundation since its online CEU program began in the Spring of 2014, providing specialized training in the treatment of stuttering to more than 4,500 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), who provide patients and families with stuttering therapy.
“The numbers are just astounding,” said Jane Fraser, president of the Stuttering Foundation. “We’re the world’s oldest and largest online provider of specialized stuttering training courses for therapists. Our educational portal is taking on new significance, becoming a vital resource for those who provide help and hope to the stuttering community. We strive to ensure that therapists have the cutting-edge tools they demand and need to work effectively with their clients,” she added.
The Foundation averages more than 1,000 course completions per year. The most popular course is Basic Clinical Skills. Foundation CEU courses are designed to take 60 minutes per contact hour to finish and they offer discounts for multiple registrations for school districts, companies, and other organizations.
The Stuttering Foundation is an approved Continuing Education provider by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). For more information, visit www.StutteringCEUs.org.
