Buyer Beware Applies to the Online Stuttering Community
The Internet and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and the like, have given us wonderful tools to deliver support and spread information to the global stuttering community. Unfortunately, it has also allowed unscrupulous organizations and individuals the opportunity to perpetrate far too many scams. This is specifically true when it comes to help for stuttering.
As with all things, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Please be wary of quick fix stuttering “cures”, “Intensive clinics” that promise “guaranteed results” and offers to “live stutter-free in 3 days”.
